I went here for dinner on a Thursday evening it was the day after Christmas so it was not packed at all. The staff was extremely attentive and kept checking in on me. I ordered the house cut truffle fries for an appetizer and wow, delicioso. For my entree I went with the prime flat iron (medium rare). The flavor was just perfect. As for my drink I went with the cucumber mint spritz (mocktail) which was flavorful. The ambiance was perfect and I can definitely see myself coming back with a group of friends. Highly recommend!

Went to One Door North with a large party for holiday party. I thought the food was good but was super impressed with the spot on service. I tried the flatbread which was one of the party shared appetizers and I did like the freshness and thinness of crust. I had the short rib rigatoni - good size serving loaded with meat. I actually ate my meat & left the pasta as I would never have been able to finish serving myself. The meat was tender and nicely seasoned. The rest of the group all seemed to enjoy their meals as well. Parking was very difficult at 5:30 on a weekday which is the only drawback in the area. Definitely would give it a try again!

Stopped in for some apps and dessert on a date night. We got an order of the truffle fries, the four cheese macaroni, and a cast iron cookie. The appetizers came out quick and were decently portioned. The fries had a generous amount of parsley and parmesan, pairing well with the truffle. The macaroni was baked nicely and crispy. It took some time for the dessert to come out but it was fresh with a good scoop of ice cream on top. The hostess was very friendly, but our waitress seemed annoyed that we were not ordering drinks or main courses. Aside from her attitude, the dining experience was great!

I came here for a friend's birthday dinner and we got to dine in one of the tents. The ambiance is so fun! I wasn't feeling particularly hungry so I stuck with an order of the appetizer mac and cheese but I'd like to come back and try a full entree at some point.

My most tenured best friend had planned a date night for my close and dear friends to celebrate my better half's birthday month. My other longtime buddy had recommended the restaurant we were eating dinner at and I was really looking forward to trying One Door North for the very first time. One Door North had piqued my foodie-meter awhile back, but after looking at their menu and the price of their entrees, I thought the restaurant was pricey. I can assure you that the yumminess of their grub, the quality of the food, the amount you are served, the great customer service, and the vibe of the restaurant was worth the money I paid. One Door is located in the confines of hipster North Park. It is centrally located between South and North San Diego, so my Southside and Northside buddies didn't have to travel far for our outing. The restaurant is located on the corner of Myrtle Ave. and 30th Street. It is across the street from Modern Times Beer brewery, diagonal from Dunedin New Zealand restaurant, and next to The Smoking Goat. As you enter One Door, you immediately notice the outdoor, nature theme with camp tent structures people can dine in; the old school lanterns, antler chandeliers, and strewn up light fixtures; wood top tables; and other visuals that make you feel like you're glamping. There is table top seating, bar seating, and for the tent seating, you have to book that in advance. Our waitress wearing glasses (sorry, forgot her name) provided attentive and memorable customer service often checking up on our party. You can make reservations in advance with the restaurant. Parking is neighborhood parking, so you might have a little jaunt to the restaurant. Anyone who knows me or has read some of my Yelp reviews knows I'm all about getting bang for your buck. One Door had been on my foodie radar because I was intrigued by the camping dining theme, but their menu prices made me pause. I am so thankful to my buddies for setting up the date night and allowing me to chow down on One Door's tasty and memorable menu items. My wife and I shared the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich, the Mini Cornbread Muffins, and the Four Cheese Macaroni. Sharing is caring, so my friends and I shared an appetizer and we tried each other's food orders. We got to grub on Spinach Artichoke Dip, House-Cut Truffle Fries, and Elote-Style Cauliflower. For their dinner entrees, One Door is generous with their food, which is why I'm all about their value for your money. I loved the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich, which comes with Alabama white sauce, hot honey, coleslaw, pickles, brioche bun, pickle spear, and a generous portion of house-cut fries. That sandwich was hearty, my taste buds were energized, and it filled me up even though I shared part of the sandwich with my wife. Order their mini cornbread muffins, which looked like baked scallops. They too were tasty and the only thing I regret is that we shared them. Seriously, that delish! The four-cheese macaroni had mozzarella, cheddar, smoked gouda, and parmesan. Cheesy goodness, creamy, and so glad I got to take this home for later. The spinach artichoke dip blew me away, was addicting, and I generously spread it on their grilled pita bread. I had several bites of the elote-style cauliflower and the superlatives for that appetizer matched all of the other quality-tasting grub. One Door even comped a cast iron cookie with vanilla ice cream birthday dessert for the wifey and that was delicious as well. My buddy who recommended One Door ordered their S'Mores Platter for us to share and it was the perfect ending to our glamping dining adventure. I'm truly blessed to have the decades-old friendship with my buddies I shared this evening with and I'm thankful to them for celebrating my better half with a fun date night evening. In the Disney movie Inside Out 2, they talk about core memories. This first time dining experience at One Door North will be a core memory for us because of the people we broke bread with and the memorable and value for your money food we filled our stomachs with.
